About The Founder
Jayda Hany is an Egyptian footwear & accessories brand. The founder is originally an architecture graduate from the American University in Cairo & a Masters degree holder from London College of Fashion in footwear design. Inspired by Egypt’s vast cultural heritage & architecture with a mix of modern geometrical forms, Jayda Hany strives to create a sense of individuality through luxurious footwear & accessories made with premium quality. Her signature is mixing existing urban & historical features with her love of geometry to create timeless leather goods using local resources & craftsmanship to create a global brand.
Connector - The Debut
Deconstructing the internal workings of the shoe by exteriorising impact on walking gait through exploring structural architecture such as truss systems and load distribution using 3D printing technonology reinforced with traditional footwear making techniques.
The collection was later on used by BMW in New York to customise an M4 car.
